We at the British edition of Wired are excited to back the Internet for Peace campaign. The net is the greatest transformative force in modern life, empowering citizens to take power back from governments and corporations. As the internet makes the world ever more transparent, it becomes harder for vested interests to manipulate and exploit citizens and consumers. That is why it's time that the Nobel committee recognised the internet's positive impact on our lives.
